Programme of Events
This year’s five-day festival comprises 124 jazz events, hosted by 16 different venues.
Admission to Jazz Sessions & Collection of Stroller Passes
Please note that doors will normally open 30 minutes before the advertised start time of sessions.
Admission to most jazz sessions will be by stroller pass only – these events are coded (s) in the daily schedule. Exceptions are 11 events coded (f) - plus the Jazz Festival Church Service, Jazz Songs of Praise, the JazzDray event and the famous Street Parade.
Before attending any jazz sessions, all pre-booked ticket holders must collect festival stroller passes from the Jazz Festival Office. Stroller passes should be clearly visible to gain admission to jazz sessions. Stewards will be present at sessions to regulate admission which is subject to venue capacity. Stewards are not able to accept payment on the door. For all Stewarding enquiries please contact the Jazz Festival Office on 017687 81123.

JazzBus Services
These bus services are free of charge to festival pass holders.
General Information
- The JazzBus Terminus (JBT) is situated on Brewery Lane, Keswick, to the rear of the Queen’s Hotel. Please have consideration for local residents living adjacent to the JBT when disembarking late at night.
- Festival pass holders can travel free of charge on any JazzBus Service.
- Please contact the Jazz Festival Office if you have any queries about the JazzBus services (tel. 017687 81123).
Disabled Access
- A wheelchair accessible JazzBus will be available throughout the festival. On Wed & Thu this bus will run on the THEATRE ROUTE; it will then operate an ‘on-call’ service for the remainder of the festival. The ‘on-call’ service can be requested at the Jazz Festival Office (Theatre by the Lake), Alhambra Cinema, Braithwaite Institute and Rawnsley Hall.

IMPORTANT FESTIVAL INFORMATION!
TOURIST INFORMATION
Keswick Tourist Information Centre is located in the Moot Hall, Market Square, Keswick, offering comprehensive information on accommodation and other amenities in the Keswick area (tel. 017687 72645).
FESTIVAL CLUB
Each evening of the festival, Keswick Labour Club will remain open until midnight serving alcoholic and soft drinks. Admission is free to stroller pass holders. Please note that as there will be no jazz sessions at the Labour Club on Sunday the festival club will not be open on this evening.
SOUND AND VIDEO RECORDING
Festivalgoers are reminded that the recording (sound or video) of jazz sessions is not permitted unless explicitly agreed with the musicians concerned, and then only at the discretion of the Festival Stewards.
JAZZ FESTIVAL PARKING PERMITS AND CAR PARK INFORMATION
Jazz Festival Parking Permits, priced at £8.50, are available to all festival ticket-holders and can be purchased at the Jazz Festival Office from 2pm on Tue 8 May. The permits are valid from 11am on Wed 9 May until 9.30am on Mon 14 May, covering three of the main car parks in Keswick – CENTRAL, OTLEY ROAD and LAKESIDE (adjacent to Theatre by the Lake).
Please note that these permits no longer cover Bell Close car park (behind the Queen’s Hotel).
There is free parking adjacent to Braithwaite Institute for approximately 40 cars. Braithwaite is a small village located 2 ½ miles west of Keswick, along the main A66 road.
Please note that the pay-and-display car park at Rawnsley Hall is not covered by the Jazz Festival Parking Permit. |
